There is now a referral scheme for YouTube Premium where current subscribers can earn a free year of subscription by sharing a unique code.
With YouTube Premium, you can access additional YouTube Music features and watch videos without advertisements. If they get others to sign up, premium subscribers can now receive up to 12 months for free.
According to 9to5Google, YouTube Premium now includes a referral program that creates a referral link you can share with others. With your referral, someone else can obtain the first three months of YouTube Premium for $0.99 before the regular rate of $11.99 per month begins. Additionally, for each referral, you receive a free month of Premium.
This isn’t the cheapest deal in the world for new users because YouTube frequently offers three free months of Premium as a promotional offer. You can’t use someone else’s referral code to get three months free forever, and anybody who has previously signed up for YouTube Premium and canceled their subscription won’t be eligible for the lower pricing either. The last restriction is that a referral link can only provide the link’s owner with a maximum of 12 free months.
How YouTube Premium Subscriber Can Refer New Users
- Open the YouTube app, then select your profile from the menu at the upper right.
- Select “YouTube Premium benefits” by tapping it.
- Tap the “Get up to 12 months of free service and buy YouTube subscribers” after scrolling down.
- Copy your personal Invite Link and distribute it by SMS, social media, email, or other channels if possible.
The offer is valid until May 31, 2023.

Additionally, you are currently unable to establish a referral link through the website or the iPhone/iPad app. The Android YouTube app is currently pushing out the update. Try again in a week or two if you don’t see it the first time because some users of the Android app don’t even have it yet.
Once it is completely implemented, the new YouTube Premium Referral Program might be a great way to get free Premium months for you and your friend.
