It's not totally true… I just tried it on mine and found out it's the normal airtel OTT bundle that works strictly on selected apps like low version opera and watsup… stuffs lk Google play store, emailing apps etc dose not work.

It will work for BBM on Android but it will not for BBM on BB phone
Go to the BlackBerry's home screen, then Options->Advanced Options->TCP.
Fill APN with internet.ng.airtel.com
Username&pw: wap
Click save & start browsing with it.
