Airtel Nigeria on Thursday launched its 4G network in Abuja. The launch in the country’s capital -Abuja, is coming few weeks after the mobile service provider launched the 4G network in Ibadan and Lagos.
Airtel took to their twitter handle to announce that 4G LTE will be officially launching in Abuja, which was already being done yesterday at International Conference Center, Abuja. Now, I believed it’s already active in Maitama, Garki, Wuse2, Asokor etc., as it was stated in the screenshot below.
The Airtel 4G LTE network supports Band 3 (1800MHz) which almost all mobile devices are using. Airtel bursts of speed 28.45 Mbps download speed and 8.77 upload speed. Moreover, the speed varies spending on your network signal or coverage. Just like what Airtel did for their subscribers in Ibadan and Lagos, we hope that 4G new users in Abuja can also get Free 4GB data when you swap your SIM to Airtel. If you are residents in Abuja and you are going to try out Airtel 4G LTE, these are what you should know; You’ll require a SIM swap in other to be able to access Airtel 4G LTE services. Kindly visit an Airtel shop near you with a valid means of identification for assistance on your swap request. Once you are done, check your data balance by dialing *140# and you will be given a free 4GB data bonus.

It's really good to hear that AIRTEL user in abuja can now browse even faster with Airtel 4G Service.
And for sure I believe the 4GB data would be inclusive in this case coz that will enable/attract people's attention to do the sim swap.
Yes that's a point, why will I swap my sim if there is nothing big and attractive attached?
Those who live in abuja should try this…
