MTN Reduces Pulse Night Data Plan Volume And Increases SME Data Price

MTN’s night data plan has been one of the best offers MTN can give to their subscribers since all their data plans seem too expensive for that amount of data, while SME data is the means of getting the low-cost data from third-party agents. It’s unfortunate that MTN NG has just reduced the data volume allocated to its Pulse Night plan starting from today 16th August 2018 as well as increase the price of SME data by almost 50%, take effect from August 21, 2018.

mtn new night plan n sme data new price

In this new MTN night plan, you now pay N25 for 125MB instead of N25 for 500MB and N50 for 500MB instead of N50 for 1GB, usable at night between the hours of 12am to 4am. The telco giant informed its subscribers via the text messages; Here is what they said;

Y’ello! when you buy the Pulse Night plan at N25 from 16/08/18 you now get 125MB. You also get 250MB for N50 and can make multiple purchases. Dial *406# to buy

According to the official text message sent to all SME data sellers;

Dear Customer, from August 21, 2018, the following prices will apply to MTN SME Data Share: 10GB at N7,500; 20GB at N14,000; 50GB at N30,000. Thank you.

SME Data Old Price 10GB was N5,500; 20GB was N11,000 and 50GB was N25,000. Once the above price takes effect from the 21st of August 2018, you may no longer be able to buy 1GB for N600, 2GB for N1200, 3GB for N1750 from any third party data reseller again. I don’t know what the price will be but I’m sure the price will make you consider between buying from the third-party reseller or directly from MTN. Therefore, we advise customers to buy data in bulk now to last you for 3 months before the proposed increment takes effect. However, if you are still interested in MTN Night Plan, you can subscribe by dialing *406# and follow the on-screen instructions. What do you have to say about this MTN new Prices?

  2. This Mtn have kolo oooo!!! When Ntel are giving 12Gb for N1000 via WAWU sim, Airtel are also giving 6months 100% double data, Glo just started theirs 125% double data according to shelaf' blog…Mtn village people have started their work ooo…….I'm opting out to mtn biz plus ASAP…..

  3. i just discoverd this when i woke up to sub for mid night. this is unfair. why would dey this to us?!!!!
    plz oga shelaf, plz give us a better alternative fot night browsing.

  4. Enter your airtel has always been better at data plans than mtn, and now they've taken a big leap downward again. here is a little comparison for before and now for midnight plans

    Before:
    Price: Airtel=N25, MTN=N25
    Volume: Airtel=500MB, MTN=500MB
    Duration: Airtel=5hours (12-5AM), MTN=4hours (12-4AM)
    Expiry: Airtel=24hours(e.g 3AM today – 3AM tomorrow), MTN=Same day(e.g 2AM-4AM today, expires after 4AM)

    now: it just got worse… I can't even compare…
    PS. aitel is about 3x faster in terms of downloading speed than mtn in my area

  5. That is craziness from MTN NG, these 9ja telecoms are exploiting us big time,ripping us of our hard earned naira,in this hard economy…

    That's fuck!! I ain't gonna sub to that again.
