The subscribers of DStv Compact and Compact plus package in Nigeria have to start gearing up to pay more in this harsh economy, if they wish to continue accessing television contents from popular PayTV provider, Multichoice.
Not long ago, the house of Representatives summons DStv over price increment in the subscription packages, and now, Multichoice has yet again increased the price of the Compact and Compact Plus package.
This was disclosed via a notice sent by the Pay TV to its customers, below is their notification message.
Dear Customer, please be advised of a price adjustment on your DStv Compact Plus package from 1 September. Your new monthly subscription will be N12,400.
For example, a Compact Plus Package which comes at a monthly subscription of N10,925 will now go for N12,500. The compact package will now go for N7,900 from the initial price of N6,975. While DStv premium subscription is now N18,400.
Nigerians are not happy at all about this new price, complaining of paying high rates for lots of content/channels that they are not watching. Some people are thinking of using Netflix live streaming as an alternative.
