According to Globacom, you will enjoy the following benefits when you upgrade to 4G on the Glo network:
- Customer will get the One-time Data benefit of 10GB on purchase of N500 and above data plan after successful upgrade of 3G SIM to 4G SIM
- The validity of One-time Data benefit of 10GB is 7 days
- 25% Extra data bonus is available on subsequent purchase of data plans between N500 and N5000
- 25% Extra data bonus can be availed for 6 months
If you are still using a 3G Glo SIM, quickly visit any Glo experience store, Glo world, and Glozone across the country and perform a SIM swap to 4G and you’ll be given free 10GB data usable on any devices.
Data Validity
According to Globacom, “The validity of the 25 percent extra data will be determined by the data bundle purchased by the customer, while the 10 GB free data will be valid for 7 days.”
As a subscriber, your tariff plan will not be affected by the upgrade, rather you will enjoy all benefits due to the 4G SIM upgrade as well as the benefits of their preferred tariff profile.
In May this year, MTN NG allowed this same 10GB free data to all her subscribers with 3G SIM to upgrade to 4G SIM, but I don’t think the offer is still available to MTN subscribers.
