Nokia 3.4 Receives the Android 11 Update in Many Locations

When HMD Global first debuted, it was touted as one of the fastest smartphone makers to push out Android updates in the industry. While Nokia’s early smartphones were a success, the firm has struggled to provide low-end handsets in the same respect as high-end devices.

As far as the Nokia 3.4 is concerned, we can say that it’s better late than never. With today’s upgrade to Android 11, the entry-level smartphone now has the latest version of Android. As Google is scheduled to release Android 12 in a few days, it’s too late to do something about it right now. The Nokia 3.4, on the other hand, is unlikely to get Android 12 before 2022, so this shouldn’t be a big deal.

It was revealed by HMD Global’s Nokia Phones Community that Android 11 will be available for the Nokia X1. Interesting, the updates are being rolled out in waves rather than one at a time. First wave is therefore focused on the following regions:

Users in the above-listed countries will receive an update today, August 21, according to HMD Global estimates. This update will also be available to all owners of this smartphone till August 22. Within a few days, more areas will receive the update. A similar notification post will be published to alert users, as confirmed by the company itself.

Go to the Settings menu and check to see if there is a software update available for you. Android 10 will be available on the Nokia 3.4 when it is released in September 2020. Since then, the smartphone has received its first Android update. It will be interesting for now to watch whether the phone receives Android 12.
