Telegram’s Latest Update Adds a Download Manager, Live Streaming, Transparent UI, more

Telegram update

Telegram is one of our favorite Android cross-platform messaging applications, and it continues to get better with each update. A new Telegram version is now available, making downloads faster and bringing the app’s transparent style to Android for the first time.

Telegram’s newest version, which is currently available on the Play Store, includes tools for controlling downloads, sharing documents quickly, rearranging media albums before sending, turning your channel into a TV station, and more. Below are the details of the Telegram new update.

Telegram new features

Download Manager

Telegram users can send files of any type up to 2 GB in size and access them from any device – thanks to unlimited cloud storage. A new icon will show in the Search bar while files are being downloaded.

To see and manage them, tap the icon or go to the ‘Downloads’ tab in Search – stop and resume all downloads or individual items, select one to boost its priority or view it in conversation, and select one to increase its priority or view it in chat.

Android’s Semi-Transparent User Interface

Panels and headers have a little transparency effect in Night Mode, allowing chat backdrops, stickers, and media to show through as you navigate.

We haven’t seen any other Android app with effects like this. This update delivers more of the world’s top visual innovations to Android, including those from other platforms.

Telegram users on iOS have had semi-transparent headers and footers since June 2021.

Using Other Apps to Stream Live

Live video broadcasts with an infinite number of viewers are supported by Groups and Channels. Professional bloggers and journalists are increasingly embracing Telegram live broadcasts to reach their readers, according to our research.

With this upgrade, you can broadcast from streaming tools like as OBS Studio and XSplit Broadcaster, allowing you to easily add overlays and multi-screen layouts to any Telegram channel, thereby converting it into a professional TV station.

Start a new Video Chat in your group or a new Live Stream in your channel, hit the ‘Start With’ button, and paste the information into your streaming tool.

To watch your broadcast, your viewers will need to upgrade their applications to the most recent version.

The Attachment Menu has been updated

When sharing numerous images or videos, tap ‘… selected’ at the top of the panel to see a preview of how the album will appear in the chat once it’s delivered – and to rearrange or remove selected media.

The Attach attachment menu for iOS has been completely overhauled to match the Android app. The gallery has been nicely merged with the in-app camera, and a new navigation bar provides easy access to photos, files, location sharing, and more.

The Files page has been modified to show recently sent files and allow you to search for them by name.

Login Flow has been redesigned

The way you log in on Android and macOS has been improved with slick new animations. Watch as the digits from your login code slip into position on Android.

Watch the Matrix code fall on the QR Code login page on Telegram for macOS. Neo, follow the white duck.

Telegram applications allow users to log in to many accounts — each with a distinct phone number – at the same time.

Phone Number Links

From the Settings tab, anybody can create a unique @username, offering people an easy method to reach you through Search or your t.me/username link without having to share their phone number.

This update also lets you send a direct t.me link to your phone number, which begins a conversation with you right away.

T.me/+123456789 is the format for these URLs, containing the complete phone number in international format.

The connection will, of course, only function if your privacy settings allow others to find you by phone number.

New t.me Pages

Anyone can preview profiles, posts, or entire public channels in their browser using t.me links like t.me/shelaf – even if they haven’t joined up for Telegram yet.

The chat backgrounds and design elements from the fully-featured Telegram Web client have been added to these web previews, giving them a new look.
