BlackBerry KeyOne is the modern Blackberry smartphone from TCL. It is the first BlackBerry phone since the PRIV, the first smartphone from TCL to sports the physical keyboard and the largest ever battery in a BlackBerry. KeyOne has a 4.5-inch display and runs on Android 7.1. BlackBerry KeyOne features the same touchscreen and physical QWERTY keyboard combo of the BlackBerry Priv. However, the keyboard does not slide-in like in the later.

This rigid keyboard design results in a much smaller screen in order to accommodate the QWERTY keys. BlackBerry KeyOne has a 4.5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1620 pixels resolution. KEYone’s Smart Keyboard, which has a fingerprint sensor on the space-bar as well as capacitive touch on the entire keyboard for scrolling. You can ‘Flick’ predictions using the BlackBerry KEYone keyboard, and also assign shortcuts to keys (such as press B for browser) for use with a press or a long-press.

As for the camera, BlackBerry KEYone bears a 12-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX378 sensor – the same acclaimed sensor as the one on the Google Pixel – that has 1.55-micron pixels. For imaging, this smartphone also bears an 8-megapixel front facing camera with a wide-angle lens and a flash module. BlackBerry KeyOne Key Features

Note: The phone is now actually made by a different company, which is TCL Communications, while BlackBerry is a licensing partner that handles the software, but will not be responsible for the actual sales and distribution of the phone. BlackBerry KeyOne will launch in April 2017 starting at a price of around $550. We currently have no genuine information on pricing and availability for Nigeria, Ghana, or Kenya, but BlackBerry KeyOne Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N195,000 to N300,000 depending on your location in the country.
