How to Install/Flash Nokia X Launcher on Your Android Devices

As you might recall, earlier last month Nokia announced their most awaited Android device, the Nokia X. It is first ever Android phone from Nokia. The announcement of Nokia X surprised many people because Nokia is now owned by Microsoft and majority of Nokia phones are Windows Phone powered. Also, Google is a competitor of Microsoft and Android is Google product so in such scenario, announcement of Android powered phone was very strange.

Though Nokia X is an Android powered phone, but its UI is very strange from Android. It doesn’t have Play Store but rather it has Nokia Store. • Android Phone
• CWM or TWRP Custom Recovery.
• Nokia X Launcher .zip

1. Download the Nokia X Launcher.zip here for your Android phone. After download, now copy the file toexternal SD card of your Android Device (be sure to remember the exact location you copied it to and do not unzip the file yet). You will need to flash the file on your android phone using  CWM or TWRP Recovery.
2. Verify if side-loading of apps is enabled on your device. In order to do so, go to Settings > Security and check the ‘Unknown sources box’ for enabling side-loading of apps; only like that this tutorial has any chance to work properly.
3. Now switch off the phone and boot into Recovery Mode. 
4. Once you get into recovery mode, it is important to take a backup of your Android device firstby selecting ‘backup and restore’; then, you must name the file and confirm your action. This step is recommended so that your data could be safe in case the new ROM doesn’t boot in normal mode after installation;.
5. In recovery mode, select ‘install zip from sdcard’, click on  ‘choose zip from sdcard’ then look for the Nokia X Launcher.zip you just downloaded andstart the installation process.
6. After the flashing is done. Now go back to the recovery main menu and click on  “reboot system”.
