Everyone using the Airtel BlackBerry Plan to browse on Android Devices, PCs and other Non-BB devices as it is the only means of paying less and enjoy better browsing like blackberry users, people have been expecting Airtel to stop the plan from working on all devices except BlackBerry Phones since 3rd of December, 2013 due to a message that was sent to some Airtel users, here is how the message looked like – “Dear Customer, effective 3rd Dec 2013 AIRTEL BB Plans will cease to function on non BB devices or used as a modem. Thank you”. Fortunately, Airtel did not act according to their statement. I’ve been using the plan for a while and still using it on my Phone and PC. At the moment of publishing this post [25th March, 2014], I’m still subscribing to Airtel BB plan and it is still blazing well on my PC and Android Phone. Although, I received some emails and calls in which people are complaining that Airtel BB plan refused to work after they subscribe to it, but when I instruct them to power it up with 10mb, lot of them smiles and feed me back that it respond well then. Though, some of Airte BB Promo Plans that we enjoyed have stopped working since 31st Dec, 2014. Here are the lists of those that have stopped working to take note:
- Airtel 4GB Data Bundle of #1500 With 2 Months Validity Period
- Airtel 6GB Data Bundle of #3000 With 3 Months Validity Period
- Airtel 355MB Data Bundle of #200 With 3days Validity Period
- Airtel 173mb Data Bundle of #100 With 24hrs Validity Period

Conclusion If you have problems using any of the above 3 Airtel BB Plan, check if your Data Balance is accessible by dialing *123*9#. If you can see that you have an active data plan, the next thing to do is to power it up with 10mb of #100 but don’t use BSD to 440 to subscribe, it may not work because it means you put the BB plan on BB plan. I notice a text from airtel sayin none bb device'll atract diff charge afta sendin 'bbud' to 440 ~ if u check status via *123*10# it'll show 0.00mb instead of 81mb as b4, more so if u use it on pc it doesn't last lik b4 at all, so my bet is it still work on non bb device only it now consumes mb at faster rate on non bb devices
Dia is nothing like extra charge on it, i tested dat plan of 80mb last week & it work normal. You may take note of ur PC, may be some apps are sucking ur mb without ur consent.
U can now check ur remaining mb of ur 80mb 1day subscription by dialing *123*9#

The 2gig plan is blazing well, just resubscribed this month through the normal way and it's good, just dat the network failed me wen I was trying to stream el-classico

Explain with small Math on how it works.
Firstly,
The N100 daily bis is converted to N800 and to confuse
you thinking its 80mb. THE BALANCE of That 80MB dont
even show now when you check with *123*10#
Well, the N800 browsing is charge at 0.02 per kilobyte,
0.02 is 2kobo.
So Let take this maths; 800 divide by 0.02 (2kobo) is
equal to 40,000
In case you are not satisfied, here is further primary
example,
1 divided by 0.02 is equal to 50
or ( 1 naira divided by 2kobo is 50 kobo).
Okies… now 50 x 800 = 40,000.
You get it now right?
And that is 40,000 kilobyte, and we all know that 1,000
kilobyte is 1mb.
40,000 divide by 1,000 is equal to 40.
Therefore 40mb is what is now been sold for N100 daily
bis. there’s a code *123*123# for detailed balance info
which shows something like
A1: 00.00 A2:00.00 A3: 00.00 blah, blah,
blah…
if U understand these, they contain all what U need about
tracking changes and account balances.
so you don’t be cheated, or feel cheated when you are
not.

well airtel smart o.you can subscribe to their BB PLAN and it will work but in a provoking way.after i subscribed for the 2gb/1500 plan, i used 1gb and airtel cut off my browsing so what every one else is saying is true.as i subscribed they sent me this txt–Your Airtel BB Unlimited plan is active. Re-insert your battery.This plan is for BB devices only.Experience and charging may differ in case of other devices.so anything non bb their charge vary .we get 1/2 the entitlement
Ssquaretech, explained it all. They dont want to stop it bcos of the huge money they are generating. Well they are still the cheafest networks service provider interm of browsing with non bb phones

Bros, firstly i love your blog, infact when ppl ask me for help I just refer them to shelaf .com. my experience about the airtel bb plan is this, it recently worked very well but after i crossed 1gig it stoppped opening web pages except chat apps. So its only chatting I can do with it. Facebook, whatsapp, bbm, 2go, etc but I can't.open any web address.

Ur data gets finished more quickly now right? d main problem is dat airtel ave increased d rate of deducting data plan now, some complains ave been forward 2 dem & dey promised 2 make amendment. Since dia is no other cheapest data plan dat is better it yet, u ave 2 manage it 4 a while. We are working tirelessly 2 get another cheapest means of surfing d net. Pls be patient & bear wit us.
