Yesterday I made a post on how to use Mtn Bis with Android phones and PC via DroidVPN and PD-Proxy, I’m not yet happy when I saw users’ comments complaining that they are already subscribed to Mtn Bis but the VPN refused to connect, why some complain about 100MB limit for VPN free users, Now we have sourced for another means to enjoy Mtn Bis on both PC and Android phone even without required VPN subscription before you can enjoy Mtn Bis to the fullest. SimpleServer VPN is what am talking about, it works faster at the rate of 500k and above. To have a better surfing with SimpleServer I expect you to have a working Mtn Blackberry Plan. After which you set your device connections to:
- APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
- Ip Address: 127.0.0.1
- Port: 8080
For Android Device Users, proceed by Download the Android SimpleServer SimpleServer Settings Install it and go to your Simple Server settings and configure it this way below:
- Pdproxy host: 10.199.212.2
- Proxy port: 8080
- Injection method: get Injection
- Querry/url: http://web.blackberry.com
- Injection host: web.blackberry.com
- Injection line press your keyboard enter key 4times
- Log level: debug
- Close and connect to the internet and watch your browsing speed.
You might be wondering whether it works on just Opera Mini but it also works with UCbrowser, and Google Play Store. And also watching of video is applicable. Do you want it to power all your applications, just download ProxyDroid and then enter the following configuration.
Full Configuration on ProxyDroid
- Host: 127.0.0.1
- Port: 8080
Just close because you are done. Symbian users who what to surf with SimpleServer should use the same settings For PC Users: Download and extract Mtn_simple_server.zip to a new folder on your Desktop background Configure Your Modem as Follow:
- APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
- Username & Password: leave them blank
Open the file you extracted, double-click “SimpleServer.exe”and make sure is always on open. Configure Your Mozilla Firefox or Opera Mini as follows;
- IP: 127.0.0.1 PORT: 8080
- Remember to tick: Use this proxy server for all protocols

If u input all d setting correctly, it should start. Try to go through your settings and do the correction to where it necessary.
That is for glo bis only, it won't work for mtn bis, if u want to use mtn bis on ur android device, u ave 2 follow d abv procedure.

NOTE THAT: Simple server is still working till date (11/03/2015)… but make sure u dn ve any mb on ur sim (either MTN pulse mob or any other) to avoid complains.. and also ur phone background data must not be disabled, for those of u who normally do so.. I haven't tested this proxydroid b4 but I've bn using Auto proxy and its working.. tnx (whatsapp: +2348060781910)

Hi friends, lookn up to some previous comments, simple server had issues wf MTN like not workn for some days n dn bk on track again…even around Feb 10-13th ds yr. I m experiencing dt too since around 10pm last nyt when I tried loggn bk in. Hope simple server regains consciousness cos I just got to know it lez dn 2wks ago. But no regrets, wf just BBC WEEK, I have already wf 45GB data downloaded. I really pray n hope it regains consciousness as did alws b4. Thumbs up to simpler server.

When simple server stops working, its either of 3 tins: 1. It isn't working generally (i.e MTN issue)
2.Bad reception in your current location
3. You or someone else altered the settings on the SS.
Apart from these reasons, the stuff is working well.
If you are experiencing No.1 above, just exercise some patience, it will kick off again.

Goto settings in your Opera then change the IP to 127.0.0.1 and proxy to 8080. Then it will startworking. Same thing you did for Mozilla Firefox.

Find any application using d same port simple server which is 8080. disable d app and try running simple server again. I just discovered d solution, in my case it was the Apache software on my system. I stopped the service in Windows Services and boom!!!, simple server was fine…..:-)

I must confess to you, This Simple Server is still blazing fast for me and its doing a quite wonderful Job.
Its working for me and anybody I configure it for both on PC and Android Devices..
ANDROID USERS should download the updated software from PlayStore right away..
These are the Procedure I use to configure it both on Pc and Android devices..
HOW TO ACTIVATE MTN BB PLANS WITH SIMPLE SERVER ON ANDROID OR PC
1. Set your device connections to:
APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Ip Address: 127.0.0.1
Port: 8080
2. SimpleServer Settings
Install it and go to your Simple Server settings and configure it this way below:
Pdproxy host: 10.199.212.2
Proxy port: 8080
Injection method: get Injection
Querry/url: web.blackberry.com
Injection host: web.blackberry.com
Injection line press your keyboard enter key 4times
Log level: debug
Close and connect to the internet and watch your browsing speed.

CHECK The Automatically detect settings
and check the box that says "USE A PROXY SERVER FOR YOUR LAN"

Move your Mouse to the Upper-right corner of your Windows Desktop

Then Select Network from the Left side options,
Go to PROXY
ON The Manual Proxy Setup
Then, in the Address field below, type the IP address of the server in the field type
Type the Port that is used by the server in the field type.
