How to Make Money with ALAT by Wema Bank (The First 100% Digital Banking in Nigeria)

ALAT by Wema Bank

In the history of Nigerian banking, not a single Digital Bank has ever been created from the start. Banks only provide a Mobile Banking application, which tends to make transactions faster. But the fact is Mobile Banking is different from Digital Banking.

Mobile banking requires you to go to your bank to get your ATM card and also get it activated, while your Virtual Card is being shipped to your doorstep and is activated by you and you alone in which your pin can be set and controlled in Digital Banking. A very good example of Digital Banking is Payoneer.

How will you feel when I inform you now that we have the FIRST of its kind in Nigeria? I’d like to introduce to you, the first Digital Bank in Nigeria, which is ALAT by Wema Bank.

ALAT is a digital banking service powered by Wema Bank Nigeria, it is 100% digital which allows you to do all your banking transactions without being physically present at a bank. ALAT by Wema Bank (digital banking) allows you to open a free, fully functional savings account using just your BVN and phone number in exactly 5 minutes. No paperwork is required!

At its core, ALAT by Wema Bank is selling simplicity, reliability, and convenience.

ALAT digital banking helps you put money away easily by automating your savings. Make sure your bills are paid on time with its scheduled payment feature.

In general, it is delivering a free debit card (ALAT ATM Card) to your doorstep. You can activate, lock, and unlock from your phone to use anywhere in Nigeria.

You can get paid when you refer a friend to open and fund an account too. All from the comfort of your smartphone.

ALAT by Wema Bank

This is the kind of innovation we’ve been expecting since. Enough of going to banks and staying in the queue to get your ATM Card or make transactions. ALAT Is here for us. And thanks to the Wema Bank for being the pioneer of this innovation in Nigeria.

The question asked most by people is: Can we trust ALAT by Wema Bank?

Sometimes I once asked myself the same question, but I never got an answer myself. So, I had to do the needful. ALAT is confirmed to be owned by WEMA Bank Plc, which is a financial institution in Nigeria, a bank to be precise. After so much research, WEMA Bank claimed to be the owner of ALAT, not just ALAT claiming to be owned by WEMA, But WEMA Bank Nigeria Plc claimed its ownership.

This is becoming so interesting. After the tour of my research, I found ALAT by Wema Bank to be legit and trustworthy.

Also, it has a very responsive and caring customer care service, they are ready to listen to your complaints and also ready to get them solved as soon as possible. So why not try ALAT?

  1. It seems you are using the web version, try download the app and login via the app on your mobile phone to copy out your referral code.

  2. Sure, you can get it with a fee of ₦0.00
Simply login to your ALAT acct, select Cards from the Menu, select card design you prefer, click on continue, enter the address you like your card to be delivered, click continue, then enter the OTA number sent to your mobile number, click continue and you are done.
Relax and be expecting your Master card, it will be shipped to your doorstep in two business days.

  3. Not compulsory for you to upload your pic, the picture taken during the BVN registration will be automatically matched with your ALAT account.

  4. There is a calender date counting at the edge of my referrer link, will my bonus expire If I'm able to refer people before then

  5. While I like the innovations in ALAT, such as card delvery, online opening of account and the goal saving scheme, I beg to disagree that it is completely digital bcs it has no room for someone with no previous bank account since it requires BVN which can only be gotten in a conventional bank. It therefore means that before I can open an ALAT account I need to open a conventional account.
If I don't have other accounts from which to transfer into ALAT, how do I fund ALAT if I stay in a place where there is no WEMA bank?
I also need to know the transactions that I can do with ALAT that I can't do with other banks mobile banking system.
Finally, is there any charge attached to ALAT?

  6. Oh no! You get paid for all your referrals, but the referral need to activate his/her account with as low as 500 Naira before you receive your bonus.
