Tecno’s first premium phone, the Phantom X, is currently available in a few regions. Tecno is known for focusing on developing countries, and this premium model will be offered only in such areas.
It is currently available online in Nigeria for NGN 228,000 ($555/€470) and in Kenya for KES 50,000 ($460/€390). The phone should be accessible in additional areas in the near future.
Tecno Phantom X Details
The Phantom X features a 6.7-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ display that offers a 19.5;9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is the company’s first phone to feature a curved edge display and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
As for the camera section, it has a 48-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) dual selfie camera setup. The back panel of the phone has a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 120-degree FOV, and a 13-megapixel portrait snapper with quad-LED flash.
The Phantom X is driven by the Helio G95 chip and it boots to Android 11 OS, which is overlaid with the company’s HiOS skin. The handset offers users 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone supports 33W rapid charging for its 4,700mAh battery. It offers other features like liquid cooling technology, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone slot.
The phone can be purchased in two colors, Starry Night and Monet Summer.
