eFootball is a brand-new football simulation platform developed by the same team that created PES and Winning Eleven. It will be a free-to-play game created entirely on Unreal Engine.
This Autumn, eFootball will be released worldwide for the first time on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10, and PC Steam, with iOS and Android following soon after.
eFootball is a new direction for the long-running brand that was formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer.
Release Date for eFootball 2022
This year, eFootball will come before FIFA 22! Konami has announced via its official Twitter account that eFootball will be launched on Thursday, September 30th.
Those who pre-ordered the Premium Player pack can now pre-install the game, but keep in mind that all of the content in the pre-order offer cannot be redeemed until the game is fully filled out on November 11th.
File Size for eFootball 2022
According to the official Steam website, eFootball 2022 will require around 50GB of RAM.
We will update this page as soon as the known download size for each console is published.
Teams for eFootball 2022
Only a few clubs will be accessible to play with at launch, and we don’t even know what game types will be offered.
So far, the following teams have been confirmed:
- Barcelona
- Bayern Munich
- Juventus
- Manchester United
- Arsenal
- Corinthians
- Flamengo
- Sao Paulo
- River Plate
Cross-generation matches will also be supported, although cross-platform support will not be available until November.
Game Modes
As the game is being rolled out, it appears that only Local Matches and online friendlies will be allowed to play at launch.
Online leagues are expected to begin in the autumn, along with the new team-building mode (previously MyClub), cross-play across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and a new match pass system that allows you to level up and earn prizes.
The official esports tournament begins in the winter, mobile joins crossplay, and controller support for mobile devices arrives.
We do know that an offline-mode DLC will be released at some point, featuring PES classic modes Master League and, presumably, Become a Legend – but no release date or pricing has been announced.
We also know that eFootball will support the usage of Option Files on PlayStation and PC, but we don’t know when they will be available.
