Tecno recently introduced the Pova 5, the inaugural device from its new Pova 5 series, which will also include the Pova 5 Pro and Pova Neo 3 models. Additionally, Tecno has collaborated with Garena, the creator of the popular battle royale game Free Fire, to produce a limited Free Fire Special Edition of the Pova 5.

One of the key highlights of the Tecno Pova 5 is its sleek and futuristic design, dubbed Turbo Mecha by Tecno. This design incorporates lines reminiscent of giant robot mechas found in popular science fiction media.

Powering the Tecno Pova 5 is a massive 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The included charger can replenish the phone up to 50% in just 21 minutes and fully charge it in 60 minutes. Furthermore, the Pova 5 can function as a power bank, offering reverse charging capabilities via cable at up to 10W. To ensure optimal battery performance and longevity, the Pova 5 utilizes Battery Lab 3.0 software and STS Secure Battery Technology.

Driving the Pova 5 is MediaTek’s 6nm Helio G99 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. The phone features a significant heat dissipation area of 10,749mm2, comprising a 1399.65mm2 vapor chamber and a 9349.39mm2 graphene heat sink.

The Tecno Pova 5 boasts a large 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080×2460 pixels. Notably, the display supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, ensuring smooth and responsive interactions.

In the camera department, the Tecno Pova 5 sports a 50MP primary camera on the rear, accompanied by a depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. Additionally, the phone offers a z-axis linear vibration motor for enhanced haptic feedback and dual speakers with DTS Sound for immersive audio experiences.

Tecno plans to release the Pova 5 in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, offering color options such as Hurricane Blue, Amber Gold, and Mecha Black. Pricing details for each specific market will be announced at a later date.

Alongside the Pova 5, Tecno will also launch the Pova Neo 3. This device features a larger 6.82-inch display, albeit with a lower resolution of 720×1640 pixels. Its standout feature is the massive 7,000mAh battery, ensuring extended usage without frequent recharging. The Pova Neo 3 is equipped with a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 processor, available in configurations with 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
