Big Brother Naija, formerly known as Big Brother Nigeria, is a Nigerian reality competition television series, based on the Big Brother television franchise, in which 12 to 21 contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize worth 85,000,000 Nigerian Naira, and other material gifts, at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by viewers – Source Wikipedia.
Over the years, many contestants have participated in this reality TV show, this show has only been done for 5 seasons, and in the five seasons winners have emerged and prices have been won.
Let’s look at the winners of the Big Brother Naija show.
Season 5 of Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show – Lockdown
The fifth season of Big Brother Nigeria (entitled Big Brother Naija), premiered on 19 July 2020 with 20 housemates and lasted 71 days. It was ended on Sunday 29th September 2020.
Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show this year was very tough, but with God’s grace everything ended well.
In Every Game or Show, there must be a winner and only one Winner is to take home the grand Price.
The 26-year-old fast-rising rapper won the show on Sunday after 70 days in the Big Brother Naija lockdown house.
Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe, known professionally as Laycon, a fan favorite from the beginning of the show was crowned the winner of the 2020 reality TV show, which Dorathy was the first runner up. Other finalists of the lockdown housemates were Nengi, Neo, and Vee.
Laycon had over half of the votes, he earned 60% of the total, while the rest of the housemates shares the remaining 40% of the votes.
He was also the first BBNaija housemate to attain 1.2 million Instagram followers while still in the reality show.
Asides winning the ultimate prize, Laycon also won over N6 million cash during his stay in the house.
He also bagged a marketing campaign deal, skincare products, free food supply, homecare products, ambassador deal, a trip to Scotland, and $500 Bitcoin.

Season 4 of Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show – Pepper Dem
The stage was set in Lagos, Nigeria. The show premiered on 30 June 2019 with 21 housemates entered the house and 5 more housemates entered the house a month later.
Mercy Eke was crowned the winner of the fourth season.
Mercy who was the first and still the only female in Nigeria to ever win the big brother Naija reality tv show has a total of 41.77% of the total votes, she received ₦60 million worth of prizes.
She was finally with only men, Mike, Frodd, Omashola, and Seyi. The four make housemates were very strong and have large fan bases as well, but the only female outshines them with her votes. Unlike Laycon who had two housemates that had less than 2% of the total votes.
Season 3 of Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show – Double Wahala
The third season of Big Brother Nigeria (entitled Big Brother Naija) premiered on 28 January 2018. Miracle Igbokwe from Imo State emerged winner of the third season in 2018.
Miracle won the show ahead of Cee-c who was the controversial housemate as at then, with a large fan base.
Miracle had 38% of the votes, while Cee-c had 28%, making her the first runner up for that season.
Miracle who is now a pilot was Known for his relationship with Nina and his good looks as well.
Season 2 of Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show – See Gobbe
The second season of Big Brother Nigeria (entitled Big Brother Naija) premiered 11 years after the first season on 22 January 2017. Efe Ejeba emerged winner of the second season in 2017.
Fans of the reality show still believe Efe won the show out of pity votes just like they said for Laycon.
Efe was well known for his phrase “Warri”, and his relationship with Mavis as well. Efe had the highest vote as a winner, he had a total of 57.61% of the votes, almost as much as Laycon’s votes.
Season 1 of Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show – None
The first season of the show first aired on DStv Channel 37 from 5 March to 4 June 2006. In a twist to the game, two new contestants were introduced on Day 23, much to the excitement of the remaining housemates.
Ebuka (he is known for hosting the reality show Big Brother Naija), the most popular housemate for several weeks into the show and widely believed to emerge the winner was the seventh housemate to be evicted; many viewers blame the Joe’s Fan Club (JFC) for his eviction. Joe himself was soon evicted from the show.
Big Brother added another twist to the game on Day 79 by canceling the day’s scheduled nominations and making the housemates believe they will instead be evicted based on their performances on assigned tasks while in reality no more evictions were held and viewers began voting for the winner who turned out to be 26-year-old Katung Aduwak.
