Season 6 of the reality TV show Big Brother Naija will premiere on July 24, organizers Multichoice said at a press conference in Lagos on Monday.
Those who will be housemates in this year’s edition of the program have already been chosen, examined, and quarantined, according to the organizers.
They will be introduced to the public on July 24 before being brought inside the BBNaija House, where they will battle for the top prize of N90 million for 72 days.
Fans will be able to vote for their favorite housemates via the show’s website and app this year. This comes as the organizers abandon the SMS voting mechanism in order to allow supporters from outside Nigeria to participate.
“For its sixth season, BBNaija will have an unique double launch show on Saturday, July 24, and Sunday, July 25, 2021,” the organizers announced.
Both programs will air on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29, with a simulcast on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, and Africa Magic Family, starting at 7 p.m.
For the first time, BBNaija fans in the United Kingdom will be able to watch the program live 24 hours a day, seven days a week on Showmax, an African internet streaming service”.
“With each season of BBNaija, we challenge ourselves on producing excellent content that would take the excitement a notch higher and fulfill the entertainment demands of our customers,” said John Ugbe, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria.
For the sixth season, we’re pulling out all the stops to bring our consumers a program, unlike anything they’ve ever seen from Nigeria, complete with end-to-end production best practices that comply with worldwide health and safety standards.”
Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe, often known as Laycon, won the show’s most recent edition. Here is a list of previous Big Brother Naija winners.
