Pop 5P smartphone has launched as the latest offering by the China-based mobile phone manufacturer, Tecno. It is up for grabs in Nigeria online stores and comes with entry-level features and specifications. The smartphone retains the original POP 5 and is equipped with a huge display and battery.
Tecno POP 5P is currently listed on the JUMIA shopping portal for NGN 44,000 (~$107). It comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The color varieties include Rose Gold and Ather Black,
The smartphone is made of polycarbonate, manufactured nearly like its predecessors. It has a 6.52-inch bigger HD+ display (720 x 1600 pixels). It is a water drop panel with a modern aspect ratio. Although it has a modern design, the phone still has thick bezels on every side.
It has a 5MP dual camera system in the back and a single 8MP front camera setup. Face Unlock and a fingerprint scanner are supported to provide additional safety. It is powered by an undisclosed quad-core processor (unspecified) paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.
The large battery is one of its main attractions. The battery cell of the phone is boosted from the predecessor’s 4,000mAh battery cell to a huge 5,000mAh.

The Tecno Pova 2 smartphone in India and the Nigerian Tecno Spark Go 2021 version were recently released in related news. The Pova 2 features a 7,000mAh battery, Quad cameras, and Helio G85. On the other hand, Spark Go 2021 is an Android Go smartphone with a big battery and Helio A20 processor.
