When it comes to smartphones, the brand Samsung is synonymous with innovation and quality. The company has a long history of creating some of the best products available, putting equal emphasis on design and usefulness. Recently, leaked renders of Samsung’s new affordable smartphones, the Galaxy A54 and A34, gave us our first look at them. These devices take design influences from Samsung’s premium Galaxy S23 family, particularly in terms of how the cameras are arranged.
While the leaked renders of the Galaxy A54 and A34 may have impressed many tech enthusiasts, a more recent leak has shed some light on the possible price of these devices. Unfortunately, it seems that these phones won’t be as affordable as many people had hoped. According to Twitter user SnoopyTech, the Galaxy A54 could be priced at €519, up from the Galaxy A53’s launch price of €449. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A34 and A14 are expected to see a price hike of €50 over their predecessors for a sticker price of €419 and €219, respectively.

This is a significant price increase for devices that are aimed at budget-conscious consumers. While we don’t yet know the prices for the US market, it’s safe to assume that there will be an MSRP hike there as well. For reference, the Galaxy A53 was priced at $450, so its follow-up could cost upwards of $500 if Samsung decides to bring a similar price hike to the US market.
It’s important to note that Samsung has a history of announcing inflated MSRPs for its devices and then offering steep discounts shortly after launch. So, while the initial prices for the Galaxy A54 and A34 may be higher than expected, there’s a good chance that they will come down to their predecessors’ price points shortly after launch.
It’s critical to keep in mind that Samsung is still a brand that is linked with quality and innovation despite the prospective price increase. The Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 are probably amazing devices with a terrific user experience, even with their hefty price tag. These phones are unquestionably worth taking into consideration if you’re seeking an affordable smartphone.

It’s worth noting that Samsung has dropped the higher-end Galaxy A74 from its lineup this year, perhaps to make space for the Galaxy S23 FE, which is happening after all. This decision may have been made to streamline Samsung’s product lineup, but it does mean that consumers looking for a higher-end device may need to look elsewhere.
Overall, it’s clear that Samsung is continuing to push the boundaries of what is possible in the smartphone market. While the potential price hike for the Galaxy A54 and A34 may be disappointing, these devices are still likely to be excellent options for budget-conscious consumers. With a focus on both design and functionality, Samsung is sure to impress with these new devices when they are officially unveiled. We’ll be eagerly waiting for the launch of these new devices, and we’re excited to see what Samsung has in store for us.
