MTN XtraTime is a new product that was launched on 7th Feb 2014 in Nigeria. This new product according to them allows you to request airtime from the network on credit when you have run out of airtime and pay later. The airtime once received, can be used on any billable activity on the network, regardless of whether it is voice, data, or a Value Added Service.
The service is available to prepaid customers that have between 0-12 Naira on their account balance, and meet an unspecified including tenure on the network, and recharge frequency.
How to Borrow Credits when you run out of Airtime with Mtn XtraTime
- Dial *606#
- Use the display menu to check if you are eligible.
Note: This service attracts a 10% charge of what you are requesting. If I were you, I’ll cross-check all my dumped Mtn Sim to see if they are all eligible. Happy chance of borrowing from Mtn!

Dat is d only code provided by MTN 4 dis particular service & is working well, i even try it dis morning & it respond well, may b d problem is 4rm d line u are using to get it done, give it a trial on another mtn line.

plz i wish to know how the borrowing system work, is it mtn that borrows the money to a person directly or are they partnerring with another company that provide the money? and how do they extract themoney from ones account that fast, is it with the help of a software ? if yes who produces such software?.
