Some Samsung Galaxy mobile phones will now accept eSIM, according to a Google Fi announcement. Support for the Fi eSIM was originally made accessible when the Pixel 2 series was first released through Fi. Later, Google Fi support was added for the Pixel 3 and 3a phones. All Pixel 4 series devices also support Google Fi eSIM.
In actuality, this feature is so widely used that the Pixel Watch supports it. The Fi eSIM, meanwhile, was previously only compatible with Pixel-compatible smartphones. Some Samsung Galaxy smartphones will now accept eSIM, according to Google Fi, which has verified this in a new support page.
It should be pointed out that to activate the Fi eSIM, Samsung Galaxy phones must run Android 13. (One UI 5.0 or newer). The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is at the top of the list of smartphones that will enable this feature.

If you have one of the aforementioned Samsung Galaxy phones and are a Google Fi customer, you no longer need to use a real SIM card.
Configure the Google Fi app’s eSIM
- Ensure that you have WiFi access.
- Download the Google Fi app from Google Play or launch it.
- Log into the Google Account you created when you registered for Fi.
- Tap Continue when prompted to activate Google Fi.
- Enter the number and account details for your existing carrier if you’re transferring a number.
