The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is the first smartphone to receive a security update with seamless integration in December 2021. In classic Samsung fashion, the December 2021 security patch was issued before to the start of the month. Over the coming several weeks, more Galaxy smartphones and tablets will receive the new security update.

The December 2021 security patch is included in the latest version for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, although Samsung has not disclosed which security issues were addressed with this version. Samsung is expected to provide a detailed report within the next two weeks.
