Hello everyone and welcome. Let me show you how you can withdraw money from PayPal into your bank in Nigeria and receive that funds directly from the bank counter. That is what I want to show you in this tutorial. Whether you have a PayPal account already that can send and receive funds or you’re about to open a new one, then this tutorial is for you.
If you do not know how to withdraw money directly to your bank and collect equivalent dollars in Nigeria, you’re going to lose a lot of money. Based on the exchange rates, the black market, the PayPal arbitrage. This is going to help you, so you will not lose money from arbitrage and all these things that go on with PayPal.
Only five procedures are involved. Please pay attention, so that you will not miss any part. I can tell you 100% that if you miss any part of this tutorial, due to you scrolling the page, then you may disrupt the chances of dots the i’s and crosses the t’s.
Remember, there are restricted/banned countries. Some of us that are dealing with PayPal actually have our PayPal accounts set up in other country names. Such countries are the US, UK, UAE, Lesotho, Egypt, South Africa, etc.
If you don’t have a reliable PayPal account that can send and receive funds, you can get one for yourself by following the instruction on this link: How to Open a UAE PayPal Account that can Send and Receive Payment in Nigeria
How to Withdraw Money from PayPal to a Prepaid Card
Withdrawing money from your PayPal to a Prepaid Card and collecting the dollar notes in Nigeria Bank involves 5 procedures.
1. Your PayPal account must be verified
If you have not verified your account, let me tell you a secret that helps with verification. Paper registration is automatic. It’s only when you don’t do what is expected by this automation that you are triggered to now produce evidence and you are sent to human verification. That’s when the problem starts.
So, no matter where you are in the country that is banned, the computer will not know whether you’re coming from South Africa, Lesotho, Indonesia, or the Arab Emirate. That’s why it’s easier for us in the restricted/banned countries to open using the URLs of countries that are allowed.
However, when it is time to verify, you are to upload your ID card, which then exposes you to the fact that you’re not from that country.
How does this work?
When you use these like National ID cards. When you use these like driver’s license, you may be triggered by the system to identify that you are not from the country you claim and they are going to be sent for human verification, that’s when the human being will look at it and know your identification is not from the country you claimed your opt-in form and then you are banned.
But then, there is a way around this, anytime you want to verify, don’t use any of national ID cards or driver’s licenses. Use your international passport that will go through without any issue, the automation will be smooth and you will be verified easily. Although, lots of people are using Nigeria national ID cards without issues. However, an international passport is highly recommended for smooth verification. I hope this clarifies it for you if you are struggling with verification?
Also, if you are less than 18 years, you cannot register on paper, you are not allowed on paper.
So, what can you do? You are to open one in your father’s name or your mom’s name, with that you can use your documents, and then you can use it to make money online because I don’t like the restriction placed on people that are young.
Now, that we have sorted the issue of verification. Let’s go to step number two, which is to link to your bank.
2. Linking PayPal account to your bank
Two options are there on PayPal, either you link directly to your bank or you linked via a card. Now for certain countries that can open PayPal, you can link directly to your bank, but for the restricted/banned countries that are used back door to open, you cannot link to your bank, you only have one option of withdrawing money which is to link to a card.
Now you may ask, can I add my ATM card? The answer is actually yes and no, there is a special card you have to use when linking and it is called a prepaid card.
If you use a prepaid card, then you are good to go. If you do not use a prepaid card, it will not allow you to link and that’s the problem some of us have. Oh! I have a GTB and a Zenith debit ATM card. No, you have to use a prepaid card, which is a virtual card that you can link to your PayPal and you can withdraw money from it. Simply use what I’m recommending and that will help you.
3. Getting the Recommended Prepaid Card
Just go straight to any United Bank of Africa (UBA) branch in your locality. Their prepaid card is what you have to use. But then if it’s as easy as this that will be fantastic, but it’s not.
There are two different types of UBA prepaid cards. There is a Naira prepaid card and a dollar prepaid card.
The first account I opened for PayPal, which I’m still using till today, I linked in my Naira prepaid card simply because you cannot withdraw from a dollar card via an ATM unless there is an ATM that can withdraw dollars on in Nigeria, that’s very difficult.
You should notice that the black market rate and bank rates are something that is massive, how will I pick up 450 Naira to a dollar when the black market is selling as high as 580 Naira per dollar.
So, now linking your prepaid card which is Naira to your PayPal is also useless because you have to do the arbitrage, meaning you have to send your PayPal to somebody to give you dollars equivalent, which as well is also very expensive because they’re not going to give you a good rate, which made me keep digging to know how I can withdraw this my dollar from my PayPal account directly from a counter. And that’s what we are going to do at UBA.
Now, getting to UBA, what do you do? Ask them that you need a dollar prepaid card.
By the way, let me tell you things you would need to hold when you are going, so you don’t have to go back and come.
Things you need for this to operate
There are 3 things you need for this to operate, they are as follows:
1. You need proof of your address: For you to verify your address, you can use a Power holding bill, if you have your house rent that has your address, you can go with that. That will do for the address verification.
2. Personal verification: You have to verify yourself as well. Basically, I encourage you to have a voter’s card or driver’s license, or international passport.
If you are going with NIN, most of the time that the portal is not available for them to verify. So, you have to maybe drop your BVN as well. You can go with your BVN if you don’t have any other means of Identity.
3. Minimum of $10 note: You need a minimum of $10 and this time around, you’re not paying in Naira, you are paying in dollars. You have to take that $10 bill to the bank so that you can use it for verification. Sometimes, this varies because some UBA branches may not request you to pay a dime before the card is issued to you.
Those three things will let you verify, within 30 minutes to an hour, you have your card. And the beautiful thing here is when you are registering, you can tell them to put your A.K.A (username) or something you love on your prepaid card. For example, I can put Shelaf on my own, which is cool to me. It is not compulsory to print your real name on it, a username can be used rather.
Also, you don’t need to open a UBA account for any reason. Because I’m sure their marketers are going to ask you, do you have a UBA account? It doesn’t matter. Prepaid cards are virtual, you don’t need to open an account.
That is not all, after collecting the card. You have to go to the ATM of the UBA bank to activate your pin. How do you do this? The Prepaid ATM card will come with a paper which you can slice open and see four digits ATM Pin and Web Portal Passcode there.
You are to input that pin and change the pin from a UBA bank ATM. Possibly you input your pin and the network is bad, maybe more than three times. That pin will be blocked and tell you to go and come back in 24 hours.
But, if you’re like me, I don’t have much time to waste, I can’t come back into it for hours. You go back inside the bank and tell them you need a reset pin form. You’re going to be given a sheet of paper, you can fill on that and tell them in two lines, addressing it to the bank manager that you need a pin reset on the account of your prepaid card which is at the back of your prepaid card.
Do you see the 10 digit numbers? Look at the pointed arrow in the screenshot above. That’s the detail you will put in the letter along with your first 6 digits and last 4 digits printed on the card. A new pin will be reset for you which you can now use to put a pin, based on the pin you want.
4. Linking your card to your PayPal account online
You have to check my previous post on how to open a UAE PayPal account for the full detail on how to link your card to your PayPal account.
Now, let’s go to the number five process which is the big one, how you now withdraw your physical cash in dollars from UBA
5. How to Withdraw PayPal Dollar to UBA Prepaid Card
To withdraw your money to the UBA prepaid card when you have money in PayPal. You will initiate withdrawal normally, the way you withdraw and then you withdraw back to the card. After you have linked it. I think that’s clear enough.
Anyway, let me walk you through the steps
- Login to your PayPal account.
- Tap on the Transfer Money button as seen in the screenshot below.
- Once the supported card has already been linked, your next page should look exactly as it is shown in the screenshot below (I hope you can see that the last 4 digits of the card in the above screenshot tally with the info in my PayPal account. That is to show that it is tested and confirmed).
- Tap on the Next button
- Enter the transfer amount and hit the Next button to complete your transfer with zero service fee.
Once you have received an alert that your money has landed in your prepaid card, then go to UBA with a written letter addressed to the branch manager of any UBA that you want to retrieve dollars from your prepaid card. That is where the magic happens 😁😃🤗
Within 30 minutes you drop that letter, it will be processed and equivalent all you need from your prepaid card will be withdrawn for you over the counter and handed over to you free! This is similar to the withdrawing method of Adsense earnings from bank domiciliary accounts.
I’m pretty sure if you are an expert in arbitrage trading, you should know what’s next since most working ATM cards are being blocked for international transactions. Even the recently introduced Chipper Cash USD Virtual Card with access to higher transaction limits is not the best option due to its higher rate. But the PayPal + Prepaid card might be used for Cardless Arbitrage Trading, I’m not here to discuss that, so I’ll end this article here.
Thank you for reading and I wish you success as you make money into your PayPal.

You suppose let us know how we going to convert the dollar to naira
You have to take it to Bureau de change popularly known as ‘black market’ in Nigeria.
Bureau de change is the business of buying and selling of currency via physical means.
Look for the dealers in your locality, give them your foreign currency, and the equivalent in local currency will be given to you.
Before you meet them, check this website ngnrates to know the actual sell rates for that day.
1. Can someone receive money on an unverified PayPal account
2. What about those that doesn’t have International Passport? Are they shut out from the verification
Yes, you can receive money using an unverified PayPal account, but sending it out can be challenging.
A National ID card can be used to verify an account if you don’t have an international passport, but an international passport is the safest option.
“But the PayPal + Prepaid card might be used for Cardless Arbitrage Trading”
