MTN Nigeria has introduced a Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE) call service, as part of its commitment to provide access to cutting-edge communications technologies and enhance customer satisfaction.
Customers with compatible devices benefit from enhanced natural-sounding voice quality, less background noise, and improved call connectivity with the service, commonly known as HD (high definition) calls.
MTN VoLTE calls will be charged at standard calling rates. Customers with VoLTE-enabled smartphones such as the Tecno Phantom X, Infinix Zero X, and Infinix Zero X Pro will be able to use it. Other Samsung, Nokia, Apple, Tecno, and other smartphone models will be supported shortly.
“With VoLTE, MTN Nigeria continues to enrich Nigerian lives with new technology,” stated Adia Sowho, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria. VoLTE is available for free today at your rates from any VoLTE-enabled smartphone, allowing you to talk and surf at the same time with no disruptions. “We move!”
Customers simply need to do three (3) things to make use of the service: verify that they have a 4G USIM; verify that they are in a 4G coverage area by texting 4G to 131, and update and update their VOLTE smartphone to the current software version.
Customers who do not have a 4G USIM can book an appointment at https://scheduler.mtnonline.com/qwebbook/.
